I’m Joe Cannon and this is my personal website that is devoted to fitness, personal training, health and wellness.
I am an exercise physiologist, personal trainer and health educator.
I have an MS degree in Exercise Science and a BS degree in Chemistry and Biology.
I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a personal trainer certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
I do fitness certification lecture for AAAI/ISMA on the topics of personal training, sports nutrition and other topics. Basically, I train the trainers.
I am the author of the following books:

I am also the person being the website Supplement-Geek.com where I write indepth and honest, science based reviews on dietary supplements.
In my former life, I was the Director of Wellness for a hospital-based health club that ranked among the top 100 of all health clubs in the United States. There, I designed and implemented groundbreaking exercise programs for a wide range of people including seniors and those with special needs such as cancer, fibromyalgia and osteoporosis to name a few.
I have written for several publications including The Journal of Strength and Conditioning, Today’s Dietitian, Weightwatchers.com, Philly Fit Magazine, Workoutsforwomen.com and I’ve been a content consultant for Dateline NBC.
